Client:Mary Washington Hospital

Project overview: Developed a virtual instructor-led class to cover specific Workday tasks relevant to managers and directors. This was part of a larger initiative to help the hospital during a Workday implementation.

Instructional design process: Conducted task analysis, audience analysis, and subject matter expert (SME) interviews, to determine the most important Workday tasks we needed to cover. We then created a design document, and a ppt deck with the class, along with job aids and quick reference guides to support the learners. The class was five days and we delivered four different sessions.

Instructional materials and tools:

  • Word (Design document)
  • PPT (Storyboard)
  • Zoom
  • In-Design

Challenges and successes: There was a lot of pressure to build a class that was relevant for managers and directors. We were able to successfully deliver a class that was interactive, helpful, and that allowed learners to implement Workday into their workflow without any major concerns.
